Our company was founded in 1976 on the belief that a quality home is a dream everyone should be able to attain, not a luxury reserved for he privileged. That revolutionary idea helped us to establish a bond of trust with our customers that has endured for more than 25 years. At Cunat Inc., the customer-centered philosophy that made us strong is still in place. What began as a small family-run business has emerged as one of Northern Illinois' leading real estate developer and property management firms.
Since our modest beginnings, we've seen our staff grow from three to more than 180 individuals all committed to achieving the same goals. Their efforts recently helped us achieve several very important awards. Brian and John Cunat were named Entrepreneur of the Year in the customer service division of a prestigious regional competition sponsored by Ernst & Young. And, for the second year in a row, earned a category best in the Chicagoland Apartment Marketing & Management Excellence (CAMME) Awards.
We are proud of this recognition, but prouder still of the constant flow of new ideas that continues to shape our company and propel us into the future.

As the Director of Organizational Development, Miki Cunat plays a key role in elevating the company to new heights. Miki has instituted several training programs to empower Cunat employees, thus fostering the team environment where each employee can be effective and achieve their full potential. She has spearheaded the Cunat Executive Suites program that is already making a significant contribution to the growth of the business.
